On the evening of April 13, 2025, Hua Li Group, a key footwear supplier for Nike, disclosed in an investor briefing that its current orders remain stable, with all factories operating normally to ensure on-time deliveries.

“There have been no order cancellations or reductions from clients, nor has the company received any notifications to adjust shipment plans,” stated Hua Li.

The group also addressed tariff concerns, noting that historically, tariffs have been borne by brand clients (importers). If tariffs rise significantly and brands pass the costs entirely or mostly onto consumers, purchasing demand could soften. While brands may negotiate cost adjustments with manufacturers, Hua Li emphasized that manufacturers’ limited net profit margins mean varying pressures depending on their profitability.

“We have formulated contingency plans for different tariff scenarios imposed by the U.S. on Vietnam and maintain close communication with clients,” Hua Li added.

Despite global trade uncertainties, Hua Li confirmed that its new factory construction in Indonesia will proceed as planned, with several facilities set to begin operations this year.

Investing 450 Million Yuan in New Headquarters

On the morning of April 10, Hua Li Industrial Group Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its headquarters in Zhongshan’s Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Zone. The project, with a total investment exceeding 450 million yuan, will include a corporate headquarters, high-end office spaces, and commercial facilities. It is projected to generate over 7 billion yuan in revenue within five years and contribute more than 500 million yuan in local taxes.

“Zhongshan is not only Hua Li’s entrepreneurial home but also the foundation for our sustained growth,” said Group Chairman Zhang Congyuan during the ceremony.

Public records show that Zhang Congyuan, a native of Yunlin County, Taiwan (born in 1948), has dedicated over 50 years to the footwear industry since the 1970s. He emphasized Zhongshan’s appealing ecosystem and robust industrial base, pledging to enhance the company’s global competitiveness by attracting top talent and innovation resources. “We will remain rooted in Zhongshan while giving back to society, striving to become a world-leading footwear enterprise,” he stated.
